Destination Rumination
"I have lost my focus. I have no vision at present, of the future. Meaning is slowly draining away from my work as a director of hospice volunteers. Intellectually, I can see how odd that is, but my heart is no longer in my work. I want to take a long train trip…miles and hours of gentle rocking…best for rumination."

Spiritual Activism
"I want to go to Cuba as a contemplative, an activist, as a writer. My contemplative approach is to 'take a long, loving look at the Real'. My activist goes to offer support and seek inspiration from Cuban women who struggle for social and economic change. My writer goes to ask questions and to hear the queries of others."

Long Road Home
"I remember on the day I left my home land. I felt a very deep loss. Immigrating to the States was a blessing and a challenge. As many immigrants do, my family assimilated into the American culture, which left me feeling disconnected for many years. I am reconnecting to my roots and seeking out the ancient traditions of my native culture."
